Sebastian Peralta-YogaTeacher and Ayurvedic Practitioner

seb-2-1080x1152-1Sebastian Peralta has been exposed to the Yogic and Ayurvedic lifestyle since he was 4 years old. He started off with Club Yoga, a yoga program for children. Some people would go to church on Sunday mornings; Sebastian on the other hand would go to his weekly Yoga class. By 12 years old he graduated to teen yoga, which he continued for a number of years. By 20 years of age he took his Level 1 and Level 2 Kundalini training in New Mexico, with the KRI ‘Kundalini Research Institute’. Once he finished that it simply gave him the thirst to learn more.

He then graduated from Club Yoga Teacher Training and Yin Yoga Teacher Training at Rama Lotus Yoga Centre in 2011. He has followed his interest leading him to Ayurveda, also known as the sister of Yoga, and has done his Ayurvedic training in India in 2012 and 2013. He is also working with Club Yoga to teach children and families. One of the reasons Sebastien loves working with young people is because they will always be curious making him constantly learn and grow from their youth. The best way to stay in touch with your youth is to be around it and become part of it. This is what help makes Sebastian a good teacher because he is someone who enjoys to learn and become part of the youth meanwhile educating them about their own bodies and minds.

He is the owner of Viveda.ca an ayurvedic Spa in ottawa

Word from the Director

Satkiana Swan

1

I welcome you to The Berdhanya Swami Tierra Council of Children and Family.  It is a delight to be directing this council under the wise guidance of Berdhanya Swami Tierra and to be working with such a wise, skillful and experienced team.

My vision is to support, inspire and create alternative education for children.  I see alternative education as holistic education that honours the unique sensitivities and awarenesses of the children on Earth at this time.  These children are often psychic and process information differently than we may have done as children.  Our public school system has not yet caught-up with the times to meet their needs.

Our council also supports, inspires, educates and offers counsel to parents and educators of children.  Your personal self-awareness and presence is the greatest gift you can bring to the children..

We welcome the voices of those who share our vision for a creative, holistic alternative education. We have created our blog as a vital resource and sharing space for all who share our common passion and vision for alternative education.

If you resonate with our vision and would like to share an inspiring article with us, you can contact me at satkiana@ottawachildcouncil.com.  I will send you a letter outlining our submission requirements.

In service,

Satkiana Swan
